Gaston Rebry (1933-2007) was a Belgian-born Canadian painter celebrated for his expressive landscapes. Arriving in Canada in 1953, he was deeply moved by the wilderness, finding inspiration in the work of Tom Thomson and the Group of Seven. Rebry developed a unique style that captured the essence of the Canadian landscape.
