Norman Tait (May 20, 1941 – May 21, 2016) was a renowned Nisga'a First Nations sculptor and master totem pole carver from British Columbia, Canada. Inspired by his carving lineage and drawing on Nisga'a artifacts, he played a pivotal role in revitalizing Nisga'a carving traditions. Tait's intricately detailed works, including 39 totem poles, are found in collections and public spaces across Canada, the US, Europe, and Japan.
