George Buytendorp (1923) is a Dutch-born Canadian artist who carried on his family's artistic and restoration legacy. Trained at the Academy of Fine Arts and Related Sciences, he established studios in the Netherlands before immigrating to Manitoba in 1951. Quickly rising to prominence, his work is widely exhibited in Canada and held in prestigious private and corporate collections. Buytendorp currently resides in Abbotsford, BC.

Born in the Netherlands, George followed his family's artistic tradition by training at the Academy of Fine Arts and Related Sciences and apprenticing as a restorer for five years. After opening studios in Arnheim and Amsterdam, he immigrated to Canada in 1951, establishing himself as a respected artist and teacher. His work is exhibited across Canada and collected by prestigious institutions.
