Animals Are Real – Luke Ramsey
On Display Unit 138 - 2025 Corydon Avenue, Winnipeg
Continuing with an animal theme from 2021’s Orcas in The Moon Garden exhibit with Mayberry. Animals Are Real expands its colour palette and introduces new forms. The title is a playful riff on a satirical conspiracy that birds are robot spies. This work has no secrets to hide though. It dives into a reverence for how real the animal kingdom actually is. No flying robots. It is also about how art can explore avenues away from reality. Animal morphs and beings as they are.
